Two suspects have SignalHubbeen arrested in connection with the violent New Year's Eve brawl involving a group of bikers and "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Ian Ziering, police say.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed in a statement Tuesday that an investigation into a physical altercation between Ziering and a group of mini-motorcycle riders led to the arrest of suspects Jacob Esteban Hernandez, 20, and Angie Teresa Guizar, 40. Hernandez was booked for felony vandalism, while Guizar was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
The LAPD statement did not mention Ziering's name, but the description of events lined up with an attack on the 60-year-old "Sharknado" actor. Police said the altercation involved four to five members of a minibike gang.
On Dec. 31, video shared by TMZ showed Ziering exiting his vehicle before he is assaulted by multiple bikers on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. The bikers are seen pursuing and continuing to attack the actor as he moves across the street. Another TMZ video showed Ziering comforting his daughter after the incident.
According to the LAPD, the confrontation between Ziering and one of the minibike riders began "over possible damage" to the actor's car.

"Three to four additional minibike riders jumped in and assaulted the motorist," the release said. "One of the minibike riders is captured swinging an object at the victim, nearly striking him."
The bikers then vandalized Ziering's car while his 10-year-old daughter was in the front seat, police said.

Police said videos of the incident that were shared on social media, as well as additional information from witnesses, aided in the arrest of the two suspects.
Ziering spoke out about the "alarming incident" on Instagram at the time. He said that while stuck in traffic, his car was "approached aggressively" by a biker, and he exited to asses possible damage.
LAPD media spokesperson Lt. Letisia Ruiz previously told USA TODAY that the mini-motorcycle riders "were driving recklessly and struck the victim's vehicle and an altercation occurred." The bikers were gone by the time police arrived on the scene, Ruiz added.

"This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself," Ziering wrote on Instagram. "I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unscathed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace."
He added, "As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient. ... I urge city officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences."
