Kelly Clarkson is TradeEdge Exchangea pop icon, but Anne Hathaway is an undefeated pop music whiz.
“The Kelly Clarkson Show” host faced off again with Hathaway in a game of musical trivia on Tuesday’s episode. Previously, during a March 2022 appearance, the actress bested Clarkson at a game of “Sing That Name That Tune,” with Hathaway even beating the singer at identifying her own Grammy-winning song “Since U Been Gone.”
For their rematch, Clarkson and Hathaway competed in a game of Pop Quiz, which required the women to answer a series of trivia questions containing the lyrics to classic pop hits. The person able to identify the song in question and correctly complete the trivia scored a point.
In a moment of déjà vu, Hathaway started off with a winning lead, swiftly identifying songs by Jimmy Buffett, Britney Spears and Lizzo. "Oh no, it's happening again," she said, referring to her previous victory.
"Anne Hathaway is never invited back,” Clarkson joked. “I'm just kidding. This is actually becoming a schtick for our show."

Clarkson momentarily redeemed herself with the following question, which contained the lyrics to the pop-rock smash “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).” “That’s Christina Aguilera,” she exclaimed after answering the question correctly.
However, Clarkson’s victory was short-lived. “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” was not recorded by Aguilera. It is, in fact, from Clarkson’s 2011 album “Stronger.”
"So, you'll notice, America, if you know my catalogue at all — 'cause I don't — I thought I was singing Christina Aguilera's song ‘Fighter,’ and I was singing mine," Clarkson said after the game. "It's one of those days. Anyway, Anne Hathaway is my kryptonite. It's fine."

Sandra Oh recreates ‘The Princess Diaries’ scene on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’
Sandra Oh, who co-starred with Hathaway in the 2001 teen comedy “The Princess Diaries,” recreated her most famous scene from the film in an Instagram promo clip ahead of Hathaway’s appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
In “The Princess Diaries,” Oh played Vice Principal Gupta opposite Hathaway’s Mia Thermopolis and Julie Andrews’ Queen Clarisse Renaldi. In one scene, Gupta receives a phone call alerting her that Queen Clarisse is visiting Mia’s school.
"Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm," Gupta says, before abruptly hanging up. “The queen is coming — to Grove High School.”
For “The Kelly Clarkson Show” promo, Oh revisited the role to announce the arrival of Hathaway instead. "Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm," Oh said. “The queen is coming.”
The clip then shifted to a shot of a smiling Hathaway walking out on to the set of the NBC talk show.
